AI Cleaner : Phone Cleaner
This Privacy Policy explains what AI Cleaner : Phone Cleaner (the “App”, “we”, “us”) does with information when you use the App. Please read it before you install or continue using the App. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
The short version. The App scans your device to find junk files, unused memory, duplicate files and large media so you can clear them. All of that scanning happens on your device. We do not upload, copy, read the contents of, or store your files, photos, videos or messages on any server. What we do collect is limited, standard app data used to keep the App working and to show ads — described in full below.
1. Who we are
The App is published on Google Play by Us. For anything relating to privacy you can reach us at pnlkatrodiya@gmail.com
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
The App does not have accounts and does not ask you to sign in. We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details. If you email us for support, we will have whatever you choose to put in that email, and we use it only to answer you.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the App, the third-party services listed in section 5 collect the following on our behalf:
- Device and app information — device model, manufacturer, operating-system version, screen size, language, country/region, mobile network operator, time zone, the App version and whether the App crashed.
- Advertising ID — the resettable Google Advertising ID (AAID), used by Google AdMob to select and measure ads and to limit how often the same ad is shown.
- App usage and analytics — which screens you open, which tools you tap, whether onboarding was completed, and similar events. These are aggregate product-usage events, not a record of your personal content.
- Crash and diagnostic data — if the App crashes, a technical report containing the error, the stack trace, and the device state at that moment.
- Install referrer — when you install the App, Google Play provides a referrer string that tells us which campaign or source the install came from. We use it only to understand where installs come from and to serve the correct configuration.
- Approximate location — we do not request GPS or any location permission. However, advertising and analytics providers may infer an approximate location (typically country or city level) from your IP address.
2.3 Information the App reads on your device but does not collect
To do its job, the App reads certain things on your device. This information stays on your device, is used only to display results and to perform the action you asked for, and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
- File and folder names, sizes and dates — to find cache, junk, duplicate and large files.
- Photos and videos — to show you what is taking up space and to let you delete what you choose. We do not upload them, back them up, or look at their content beyond what is needed to show a thumbnail and a size.
- The list of apps installed on your device and their storage size — for the App Manager and App Overview tools.
- App usage statistics — if you grant Usage Access, to show which apps are consuming resources.
- Memory (RAM) and battery status — to show device health and to free up memory.
3. Permissions we request and why
| Permission | Why the App needs it |
|---|---|
| INTERNET | To load ads, fetch the App’s remote configuration, and send analytics and crash reports. |
| MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (All files access) | The core function of a cleaner: to find and delete junk, cache, residual and duplicate files that live outside the App’s own folder, including files left behind by messaging apps. Android provides no narrower permission that allows this. It is requested only when you open a tool that needs it, and you may decline. |
| READ_MEDIA_IMAGES READ_MEDIA_VIDEO | To list photos and videos in the Media Cleanup and Duplicate Cleaner tools so you can review and delete them. |
| READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE | The same purpose on older Android versions, where the media permissions above do not exist. |
| PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS (Usage Access) | Optional. To show app usage and resource consumption. The App works without it. |
| KILL_BACKGROUND_PROCESSES | To close background apps when you tap Phone Boost, freeing memory. |
| POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Optional. To send you a quick-clean tile and an alert when junk builds up again. You can decline or turn it off later in system settings. |
| REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES | To open Android’s standard uninstall dialog when you choose to remove an app. Android, not the App, performs the uninstall and asks you to confirm. |
| RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | To restore the home screen and any scheduled reminder after your device restarts. |
| Home app (launcher) role | Optional. If you choose to set the App as your default home app, it replaces your home screen so cleaning tools are one swipe away. Your existing apps, widgets and settings are not changed, and you can switch back at any time from Android settings. |
| Package visibility (<queries>) | To list launchable apps for the home screen and app drawer, and to detect which app is currently your default home app. We deliberately do not declare the broad QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission. |
You can withdraw any of these permissions at any time in Android Settings → Apps → AI Cleaner : Phone Cleaner → Permissions. Some features will stop working if you do.
4. How we use information
- To provide the cleaning, boosting and device-information features you ask for.
- To keep the App stable — diagnosing crashes and fixing bugs.
- To understand which features are used, so we can improve the App.
- To display advertising, which is how the App is funded, and to measure whether those ads work.
- To deliver the right remote configuration to your installation.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and technical misuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your files, photos or messages for advertising, profiling or training any model.
5. Third-party services
The App uses the following services. Each has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to read them:
- Google AdMob (advertising) — AdMob & privacy, How Google uses information
- Google User Messaging Platform (consent for ads) — Google Privacy Policy
- Firebase Analytics (usage analytics) — Firebase privacy and security
- Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting) — Firebase privacy and security
- Firebase Remote Config (app configuration)
- Google Play Install Referrer (install attribution) — Google Privacy Policy
6. Advertising and your choices
The App is free and is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Google and its ad partners may use the Advertising ID and information such as your device type, IP-derived approximate location and prior ad interactions to select ads.
- If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent form is shown the first time you open the App, asking whether you agree to personalised ads. Your choice is respected; if you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised. You can change your choice at any time from within the App where that option is offered.
- On any device, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads. Deleting it stops apps from using it to personalise ads.
- You can also opt out of personalised ads across Google’s network at adssettings.google.com.
7. Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only:
- with the service providers named in section 5, who process it on our behalf under their own terms;
- where the law requires it — for example in response to a valid legal request; and
- if the App or our business is transferred to another owner, in which case this policy continues to apply to information transferred with it.
8. Where information is processed
Our service providers are global and may process information on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on legal safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. How long we keep information
Analytics and advertising data are retained under the retention settings of the providers named in section 5 — typically between 2 and 14 months, depending on the data type. Crash reports are typically retained for around 90 days. Data held on your device (your settings, the App’s cached configuration, and any scan results) is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
10. Security
Data sent by the App travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. Because scan results and your files stay on your device, the security of that content depends primarily on your device’s own protection — a screen lock and up-to-date system software. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children’s privacy
The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because the App has no accounts and we hold no data that identifies you by name, the most direct ways to exercise these rights are:
- Delete the Advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads, which severs the identifier used for advertising;
- Uninstall the App, which removes all data stored on your device and stops all further collection; and
- Contact us at pnlkatrodiya@gmail.com with your request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, normally within 30 days.
If you are in California, we confirm that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and that you will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes or the law requires. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and where the change is significant we will give notice in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
